Houm is an all-in-one, one-click solution that helps landlords find tenants and buyers. It begins by offering leasing solutions without the need of endorsements. While based in Chile, the company also operates in Colombia and Mexico.

Similar to Brazil, these countries present a compelling environment for the company to thrive for several reasons: i) a highly fragmented market with a high share of individual real estate ownership (no institutional rental market); ii) low mortgage and debt penetration; iii) no Multi Listing Services (MLS); and iv) a clear friction/red tape process for, on the one hand, individuals who want to rent apartments and need an underwriter for credit scoring and, on the other, landlords who must undergo the arduous processes of locating tenants and operationalizing rentals.
